Not a transcript.
A professional report.

From a one-hour interview, the Structured Document produces material you can work with right away: summary, key points, sections by theme, verbatim quotes and highlighted data — figures, statements, dates — and a final glossary.

The AI recognises that it's an interview, a press conference or a debate, and organises the content the way an editor would lay it out.

Exact quotes, timestamps to the second

Every sentence has its own timecode. Verify a quote in a second — no rewinding, no fear of misquoting a source.

Works with messy audio too

Speakerphone, pocket recorders, Zoom audio, recorded phone calls. If you can hear it, the AI can hear it.

Renameable speakers

After transcription you rename 'Reporter' to your name and 'Source' to your interviewee's. Export clean text for the piece.

How it works — in 4 steps.

No installs, no plugins. Open your browser and go.

  1. 1

    Record as you always do

Pocket recorder, phone, Zoom, WhatsApp call. We accept any audio or video format.

  2. 2

    Upload to Verlio

Drag the file into your browser. Even 2 hours straight — no need to cut it up.

  3. 3

    The AI separates the voices

In 5–6 minutes per hour you get the text with speakers separated, timestamps, pauses marked.

  4. 4

    Export for the article

Word, PDF, SRT/VTT subtitles for video. Copy the quotes and you're already halfway through the piece.

When you really need it.

Field interviews

Investigative reporters, freelancers, correspondents. When the deadline is tonight.

Press conferences

You go, you record, and on the way back to the newsroom the minister's remarks are already transcribed.

Podcasts and long interviews

Show notes, 90-minute episodes, fast-talking guests. All clean.

Memos and voice notes

The voice notes you sent yourself in the car become a readable file.

It's not just transcription

No more replaying the audio and typing everything up by hand. Upload your file and within minutes you have the document ready to deliver — with speakers identified and terminology done right.

Questions we hear often.

How much does it cost to transcribe a 1-hour interview?

+

1 hour = 2 credits, which is about €1.80 with the Pro pack (€9 for 10 credits = 5 hours of interviews). For comparison, a human transcription service typically charges €1–2 per minute: €60–120 for the same hour. You pay less and have it in minutes instead of 1–3 days.

Does it work with pocket recorders and phone audio?

+

Yes, perfectly. Sony, Olympus, Zoom recorders, phone apps — we accept any audio or video format. Even imperfect audio is handled well; with truly terrible audio (covered microphone, strong wind) quality obviously drops.

Does the AI really recognise who's speaking?

+

Yes, even in two- or three-voice interviews. After transcription you can rename each speaker — 'Speaker 1' becomes 'Sarah Mills', 'Speaker 2' becomes 'James Carter'. Quotes come out already attributed in the Word file.

Is my source's data safe?

+

Files travel encrypted and stay on servers in the European Union. They are never used to train models. You can delete any transcript from your dashboard at any time, and files are removed automatically after a configurable retention period anyway.

Can I use it for interviews in other languages?

+

Yes. We recognise many languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and more) and can return the transcript directly in English to make your writing easier.

How accurate is it?

+

On clean audio we're at the top end of the market (over 95% word accuracy on standard speech). On noisy audio it drops, but it's still far faster to correct by hand than to transcribe from scratch. Every transcript is editable in the dashboard before export.
