Phone call transcription: every word in writing

The brief a client dictated over the phone, the sales call to log in the CRM, the phone interview to document: a recorded call becomes a text with the two voices separated, ready to re-read and quote. No replaying, no reconstructing from memory.

How it works — in 3 steps.

1

Upload the call recording

The file from your phone's call recording feature, a VoIP app or your phone system all work. Compressed, mono telephone audio is handled with no special preparation.

2

The AI separates the voices and polishes the text

The two sides of the conversation are distinguished and attributed, and AI cleanup fixes the hesitations and clipped phrases typical of phone speech. Product names and recurring terms? Attach them as context.

3

Download the full text or a summary

Export the complete conversation to Word or PDF, or the Structured Document with summary, key points and agreements reached: the right format to paste into the CRM or the recap email.

Is it legal to record a phone call?

It depends on where you are. Many jurisdictions apply one-party consent, meaning a participant in the conversation may record it; others require two-party (all-party) consent, where everyone on the call must agree. The rules vary by country — and in places like the United States, by state — so check your local laws before recording, and remember that recording a conversation you're not part of is treated far more severely everywhere.

In a business setting — sales or support calls, for example — additional obligations often apply, such as informing the caller and, in the EU, meeting GDPR requirements on notice and legal basis. These lines are not legal advice: for sensitive use cases, talk to a professional.

Is phone audio good enough for a solid transcript?

Telephone audio is compressed and narrow-band, but it's also predictable: two voices, one per logical channel, little background noise. Under these conditions transcription performs well and the separation between the two sides of the conversation is clean.

If you record via speakerphone and an external recorder, keep the phone close and the volume up: capture quality matters more than the method. Native recordings from VoIP apps and phone systems, already clean, are the ideal starting point.

From the call to the CRM, without reconstructing from memory

For anyone selling or managing clients over the phone, what remains after the call is what makes the difference. The Structured Document extracts a summary, key points and commitments made: two minutes after the call, the client record is updated with faithful data instead of rough recollections.

Recordings and texts are processed and stored on servers in the European Union in compliance with the GDPR — no small detail when calls contain customer data. And any file can be deleted from the account at any time.

Frequently asked questions.

How do I record a phone call on my smartphone?

Recent versions of iPhone and many Android phones include call recording, which usually notifies the other party; VoIP apps and cloud phone systems offer it natively. Alternatively: speakerphone and an external recorder. Always check the consent rules that apply where you are.

Does the transcript tell my voice apart from the client's?

Yes, the two sides of the conversation are separated and labeled, so the text reads like a dialogue and it's clear who said what.

How much does it cost to transcribe a call?

Calls under 10 minutes are free; up to 30 minutes uses 1 credit, with packs from €5 and no subscription.

Do call recordings stay in Europe?

Yes, all processing and storage happen on EU infrastructure, in compliance with the GDPR.

The call was with a supplier abroad, in another language: can I get the text in English?

Yes: select English as the document language and get the version in your language directly, choosing from more than 35 output languages.
